Lie Soei Pinâs tombstone, with one part missing. When Lie Soei Pin died in 1996, a space underground on top of his coffin was already reserved for Tjan Ang Kie. When Tjan Ang Kie passed away in 2010, the gravediggers replaced the tombstone with a new one bearing both names. Lie Soei Pinâs tombstone was found scattered around the graveyard, months after Tjan Ang Kieâs burial. Efforts to find the missing piece was futile, with grave guards predicting it might have been buried altogether.
