Members of the TNI (Indonesian National Army) look on while the Asmats are occupying the streets, raiding on the Kaigars.
The Asmat are avenging the death of Elias Firim, a village elder from Er, who is killed by a few drunk people from Kaigar. The Asmat are united together in attacking the Kaigar - another âtribeâ on the southern Casuarina Coast but does not identify with the Asmats - as revenge must be carried out collectively although the culprits have been detained. After the military threatened to send the TNI superior Kopassus Special Forces, the fighting stopped.
